Jatabag is a simple app which creates a task tree and shows you the available "leaf" tasks (subtasks without parent tasks) in the Focus View.
Optionally, you can add traits that will further describe tasks' availability.

Other feature-packed task management apps can be complex, frustrating, and anxiety-inducing.
Conversely, other simplistic task management apps tend to be threadbare.
Virtually none of any task management apps prioritize your focus. Sometimes they even actively demand more of your focus.
Jatabag has only 3 tabs: Tree, Focus, and Text. All other features are only shown as you grow your Tree.
Split up large tasks
The ability to decompose large tasks into smaller component subtasks is the essense of a useful todo list, and practically all other apps vacate this responsibility, in one way or another.
Even though some apps might make it easy to spawn subtasks, managing subtasks after that is its own chore. Re-organizing them by priority, moving parent tasks, re-annotating them is a neverending chore.
You might as well perpetually make a task "clean up the todo list". (Some companies even routinely have to do this! "Clean backlog"!)
The Tree view lets you view all your tasks decompose tasks easily. If a tree gets to big, extract it to a different tree!
Isolate actionable tasks
Every single app dumps every single task in front of your face. There aren't very many ways to reduce them (that doesn't explicitly require you to hand-edit each task).
It's noisy. It's intimidating. It's overwhelming. It's unhelpful.
The Focus View, the raison d'etre of Jatabag: it shows you only what is available right now.
Traits further enhance focus
Most todo list apps have recurrence. They have due dates. They have flag systems. They have priority.
But all of those things tend to be part-and-parcel data attached to the task: data that is written and then re-read as though it were a separate note. These "features" rarely enhance your ability to focus.
A task's traits will help you remove them from Focus based on specific conditions.
